Creative Insight's intention is two-fold: offer people a chance to read our thoughts on storytelling, and create a media outlet across print and digital to showcase its presence in both mediums. We strive for quality over quantity, ensuring the best and most representative reviews and articles across mediums and audiences.
Creative Insight is also built around the idea of a "cinephile"—someone who loves escaping into stories and the enthralling power they have on the world. As such, we are a home for the lovers, not the fighters, and work valiantly to reflect it in our work.
In his high school years, Benjamin Ruehl sought to convey his love and exuberance for all things storytelling, and resorted to his writing skills in the process. What followed was a path towards creative writing and journalism, helping him understand some of his favorite stories and introduce guiding principles as a creative and visual storyteller.
After a few years documenting his thoughts on YouTube, Ben sought to create a place for his work to lay beyond videos. This soon gave birth to Creative Insight, an informational yet playful take on some of the world's most popular media outlets.
